1.1Style nameRequired

A working name is perfect. If it doesn't have one yet, write TBC.

1.2What kind of garment is it?Required

Choose the closest match.

2.1Sketches, renders & photographsAt least one

Front and back views are ideal. Add close-ups of any detail you care about: embroidery, sleeves, closures. Mood images are welcome too.

2.2Do you have an existing tech pack?Required

A Couture Pattern is engineered from a tech pack. If you have one, please upload it. If not, you can continue: our atelier will review your references and write to you before work begins.

2.3Reference linksOptional

Pinterest boards, Google Drive or Dropbox folders, WeTransfer links. One per line. Please make sure shared folders are set to "anyone with the link".

2.4Notes on your referencesOptional

Tell us which image to follow most closely, or what to ignore in a reference.

3.1Describe the garmentRequired

Two or three sentences on the whole piece: length, silhouette, fabric feel and the key features.

"Full-length feminine A-line gown in a soft blush-pink fabric, with a fitted bodice, defined waist and softly flared floor-length skirt. Long sleeves and extensive three-dimensional floral appliqué across the upper bodice, shoulders and sleeve cuffs."

Now, part by part.

Everything below is optional. Leave blank whatever doesn't apply, or anything you're unsure of, and we'll recommend our best advice. Bullet points are perfect.

3.2Silhouette & fit

Where is it close to the body, where does it open, where does it end?

Not sure? Leave it blank and we'll recommend our best advice.

"Close, shaped fit through the upper bodice and waist, opening gradually into a soft A-line skirt. Floor length, with enough sweep for the skirt to fall elegantly."

3.3Neckline & bodice

Neckline shape, seams you do or don't want to see, any internal structure.

Not sure? Leave it blank and we'll recommend our best advice.

"Boat neckline, sitting close to the base of the neck. No visible centre-front seam. Any corsetry or internal support must be completely invisible from the exterior."

3.4Sleeves

Length, volume, how they fall, how they finish at the wrist.

Not sure? Leave it blank and we'll recommend our best advice.

"Long, very fluid, softly voluminous sleeves, not fitted to the arm. Softly pleated at the top, falling outward in gentle waves toward a softly flared cuff."

3.5Skirt, trousers or lower body

Shape, length, volume and how it should move.

Not sure? Leave it blank and we'll recommend our best advice.

"A long, softly flared A-line that falls smoothly from the waist with controlled drape. The hem is clean and fluid around the full circumference."

3.6Embellishment & details

Embroidery, appliqué, beading, and exactly where they sit.

Not sure? Leave it blank and we'll recommend our best advice.

"Three-dimensional floral appliqué across the neckline, shoulders, upper chest, centre-front bodice and cuffs: raised flowers, vines and small pearl drops, varying in size and elevation."

3.7Closures, finishing & construction

Zips, buttons, hooks, linings, seam finishes.

Not sure? Leave it blank and we'll recommend our best advice.

"All internal seams cleanly finished and concealed. The closure isn't visible in the reference; please recommend the most appropriate concealed closure."

3.8The feeling you're after

One or two lines on the overall intent. It helps us make the right call on anything left open.

"A refined, romantic couture gown where the clean architectural silhouette contrasts with highly dimensional, hand-finished floral embroidery. Luxurious rather than sweet."

4.1Base sizeRequired

The single size your pattern is drafted in. Most brands choose S or M.

Not sure? Choose “Please recommend” and we'll advise.

4.2Intended size rangeRequired

Tap your smallest size, then your largest. This guides how we engineer the pattern for grading later.

Not sure yet? Choose “Please recommend” and we'll advise.

4.3Size chart · your fit referenceRequired

Every brand fits differently. A size chart helps your patternmaker understand the fit you're after. It can be your own, or another brand's whose fit is close to what you want for yours.

We use it only as a reference for your fit expectations, not as measurements to follow. Your pattern is drafted on our mannequin in your chosen sample size, and the measurements are discovered during drafting. If certain measurements must be followed, list them in 4.5.

No problem. Your patternmaker will default to the atelier's own fit, based on your garment, references and sample size. There's nothing more you need to send.

On measurements

As in luxury development, we let the patternmaker create the measurements while making your pattern. The tech pack is then updated with the measurements discovered during patternmaking. This gives the strongest result.

If you have pre-existing measurements, we can use them as a guideline. Let us know below if certain measurements must be absolutely followed.

4.5Measurements that must be followedOptional

Only list the ones that are non-negotiable. Everything else, the patternmaker will lead on.

5.1ColourwaysAt least one

A name for each colour, and a Pantone code if you have one.

{{ c.num }}
5.2Your fabric preferencesTap all that apply
5.3Fabric directionRequired unless we recommend

Fabrics you have in mind for the shell and lining, and how the garment should feel and move.

Not sure? Tap “Open to the atelier's recommendation” above and we'll propose the best fabrics for your design.

"Silk is my first preference: silk charmeuse for the lining, with silk satin or silk chiffon for the outer layer. Please recommend the best natural-fibre combination, and a more affordable alternative."

5.4Fabric & colour referencesOptional

Photos of swatches, supplier specs, or colour cards.

{{ f.ext }} {{ f.name }} {{ f.size }}
6.1Trims & hardwareOptional

Zips, buttons, hooks and eyes, snaps, ribbons, elastics, boning. Include finish, size and supplier if you know them.

Choosing the construction materials that bring a design to life is a central part of our work. If you already know what you want, tell us here. If not, leave it blank: your patternmaker will specify the ideal materials for a construction of the highest luxury standard.

"Invisible zip at centre back, colour-matched. Silk-covered buttons at the cuffs, 10 mm. Spiral steel boning for the internal corset."

{{ f.ext }} {{ f.name }} {{ f.size }}
6.2Labels & packagingOptional

Main label, size and care labels, hang tags: what they are and where they sit. Any folding or packaging requirements.

Don't have your logo or labels yet, or not sure where they'll go? Simply leave this blank. We'll leave labels and packaging out of the tech pack for now.

"Woven main label at centre back neck, hand-stitched at the corners. Care and size label in the left side seam, 10 cm above the hem. Shipped on a padded hanger in a cotton garment bag."

6.3Fabric composition & careOptional

Composition rules (e.g. 100% natural fibres, no synthetics in the lining) and how the garment must be cared for.

Not sure? Leave it blank and we'll recommend our best advice.

7.1Anything elseOptional

Quality expectations, or things you've struggled with on past samples.
